Alexander is the biggest of the bunch, by a long shot, and the only boy. He is nearly full black, and has a stocky bone structure, suggesting a large cat in the making. If you can’t immediately tell which one he is, his face is about twice the size of the girls.

Alexander, like the rest, is affectionate, quite the purrer with a throaty rumble, especially when seeing people walk into his room, but talks the least. He literally purrs to see a human across the room. He is very strong, a bit of a rough houser, but generally kind to his littermates, and loves to cuddle them. He can be found cuddling at least one of the others at almost all periods of rest. He is the least fond of being picked up, although he will sit on a lap--or shoulder--on his terms, which actually happen quite often. He will be a “his terms” cat, and that should be taken into consideration for someone seeking a different kind of cat. He’s got quite an appetite, so this is something to be watched in the long term :-) He would probably be great with other, older or young cats, but probably not with very small children, as he is quite squirmy if he doesn’t want to be picked up or held. He shows no fear of dogs whatsoever.

13thstcats.org is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, No-Kill Rescue Group based in San Jose.

We try our best to match our cats to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular cat
