Who is Stevie?
He's our very own, 13th St. Cat Rescue mascot!
Poor Stevie came to us unable to open his eyes due to constant irritation; his eyelids and eyelashes were turned inward. Ouch! Without even a growl or a hiss, he underwent all of his treatments, many quite painful, and purrrrrrred his gratitude to us everyday. We could tell, Stevie was very thankful for us helping him to see and and removing the painful irritation. After two surgeries and many courses of antibiotics, he now has the most beautiful eyes! Stevie united our volunteers and supporters as we all came together to manage his care and cost. We love Stevie and so does his new guardian, who still tells many tales of what a special cat his is. How true that is!
