This is Baldy. I call him Mr. Baldy Bear. He randomly showed up on my driveway. We have several cats around our neighborhood, so figured he was just another one of them. But he kept coming back and he also didn’t look all that healthy. He was missing some fur on his neck as well. I went around and asked some neighbors, but no one said he was theirs. So I figured he was a stray cat. I started feeding him and leaving food and water bowls out. The weather was getting bad and lots of rain, so I built him an outdoor home. Unfortunately, he didn’t use it and other neighborhood cats would come around. Fortunately, I was able to convince my mother/father in law to allow him to use the garage space. We do have another cat, so had to be careful introducing them two. In any case, Baldy bear stayed in the house a few days and mainly resided in our bedroom (both cats litter boxes and belongings separated). But it didn’t work out quite like we wanted. Baldy does not get along with other cats (typical hissing/growling noises). He is territorial and I would say it’s more of a territorial aggression and I noticed this behavior around the other neighborhood cats as well. It was only around our home he would react in such a way. I also have a dog (10 lb. morkie poo and he is just fine with him). Unfortunately, we had to put Baldy back home in the garage since he was not getting along with my female cat. I don’t know his age since he just appeared one day to me but the Vet does think he may be 3-5 years old.

So that’s just a little background of the origins of Mr. Baldy Bear.

Personality? Baldy is the sweetest love bug. Takes a bit of time for him to warm up to you, but once he does, he enjoys being petted and loves to cuddle up next to you. He gets along with kids, dogs, but not other cats. He is a very easy going cat, and will lounge around and hang out all day with you, but he is more on the shy side, and prefers quiet and calm surroundings. He will easily let you pick him up. Baldy is both an indoor/outdoor cat. He is about 15 pounds, tuxedo in color, medium haired. Litter boxed trained as well. Confirmed Neutered, is up to date with all his shots (including rabies). Tested for FELV and came out negative and can provide all Vet paperwork as well. Baldy would be a perfect addition to a home that is a single cat home. Dogs ok.
