Honey Boy Loves To Run!

Like an orange streak of lighting in the back yard, Honey Boy dashes after bugs (some of them real), and dreams of catching a bird or a plane. Luckily, he has not been able to jump up to 5 ft heights yet, so I keep an eye on him in the fenced back yard when I’m gardening or reading. Honey Boy entertains me by dashing wildly about, then makes fantastic leaps and twirls in the air. When he’s tired, he shyly sidles up to me for some petting and conversation. I keep him in the back cottage at night; I have not brought him in the house as some of my friends are allergic. But with training and supervision, he might become more than the ‘Outside by Day; Inside at Night’ kinda cat that he is now.

Honey Boy is just over a year old and got his bachelor’s operation and shots in October of 2011. He has soft, fluffy orange fur which he lets me comb, only occasionally biting the comb. He doesn’t bite unless he sees a rubber band in my hand or a dangling shoelace—and then he thinks it’s time to pounce! Honey Boy is one of the funniest cats I have ever known, and when he lets me hold him, I wish someone could snap our photo. He is curious about other cats and likes to play with another orange cat that comes to visit us in the yard—but Honey Boy is clear on letting the other cat know that he is Top Cat, territorially speaking. So…are you ‘the one’ for this cutie of a kitty? He would make a great match for a stay-at-home single or a quiet couple. Lots of cars and visitors, blaring music and barking dogs upset Honey Boy —probably due to the many wild parties given by the college boys next door. Sure wish I had neighbors that were more civilized!
