Hi my name is Ellie. I am about 3.
 
I don't usually ask for help. But I need a place to learn to be and indoor kitty. And a chance to meet a new family.
 
I thought I was living the best life I have in a long time. About a year and a half ago I found a new friend named Rudy. A gorgeous red head with a bit of attitude. I was smitten! He let me share his yard and sometimes his owner Diana would even put out a bowl of food and Rudy and I would share. I had not had a family in a while and this was the best. I would keep the yard mouse free, sun myself next to my best buddy on the porch and the food was a bonus that I appreciated. I even let Diana pet and brush me. She really seemed to enjoy that. I even played with the wonderful smelling toys that she would give Rudy and me to play with. Everything seemed great.
 
Then Rudy got sort of sick. He was an older guy but I didn't really understand till he didn't come back from the vet. Diana said the vet could't help Rudy and he wasn't coming home. I spent more time with Diana on the porch. She didn't always seem to feel good either. I started to worry but kept it to myself. Then Diana started going away on short trips. She would be gone for a couple of days or a week or two. And when she was away a couple of her friends would come and give me food, brush me & try to play with me. She had been back for a while but a lot more people would come by and visit. Then one morning she didn't come out to see me. Then people came to take her away. One of her friends Luzmaria said that Diana was with Rudy now and that she wasn't coming back.
 
It was hard news to take. My family was gone just like that. 
 
So I am asking for another chance to have a family. 
 
I like other cats. I have been told I am a great mouser. (And ratter too.) I don't eat too much. I am a bit shy at first but I do like to be scratched and petted. I like being brushed too. But most of all I would like a chance to be part of a family again. To have a friend that will spend time with me. And maybe a few other furry friends too. 
 
Would you help me. Please. I heard that the place I am staying will not be safe for me soon. There will be people coming to clean things up and make noises and change the place I used to call home.
 
All I need is a chance. I hope to meet you soon.
