This wonderful cat lost his entire family when his guardian died; all of the cats got turned in to the local animal control shelter.  MK was surrendered to the shelter by the family and they never looked back!  How can that be?  He is such a wonderful cat; he loves people, being held, and petted (look at that photo with his back/butt up!) and has absolutely gorgeous tabby markings.  He will talk to you and then he rolls around in contentment when you talk to him.  He is the perfect companion and a character to boot! Once he's done playing he loves to lie in you lap while you work on the computer or watch TV. And he is a total purr machine!
He is fine with other cats and dogs too!  And will be fine with gentle children.
He did test positive for FIV, which is not that big a deal for cats; it just means they need to stay indoors - which is safer for all cats - and if there are other cats in the household, he needs to get along with them!

If you don't know about FIV here's a good primer -
 http://www.littlebigcat.com/index.php?action=library&act=show&item=livingwithfiv)

"Most FIV+ cats could be adopted and live with FIV-negative cats with very little risk of transmitting the disease. Because FIV is only transmitted through bite wounds, a non-aggressive FIV+ cat would not put other cats at risk."

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats

Special Needs: FIV positive - but that just means he needs to be inside away from germs!

13thstcats.org is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, No-Kill Rescue Group based in San Jose.

We try our best to match our cats to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular cat
