Mittens has been homeless since his family moved away 3 years ago. He had been living by the kindness of strangers but has lost too many battles with the neighborhood feral cats. Mittens was brought to 13th St Cat Rescue because of an open wound on his leg. He is not a candidate for returning to the streets.

The wound is healed and his weight is increasing. He is FIV+ but that isn't a problem. See the link below for more information regarding FIV. Mittens enjoys the family life and since being neutered no longer has the drive to go outside. We want him to stay inside away from harm but he enjoy time on an enclosed patio.

Mittens is not a big player but is learning. He loves being petted and hanging with his people and following them around. He is a big cat but wont get bigger. Looking for a good sized addition to your cat family? Mittens is the one for you.

Note that the video was taken the day Mittens was rescued. His tail wagging won the hearts of many.

How To Adopt Me!

13thstcats.org is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, No-Kill Rescue Group based in San Jose.

We try our best to match our cats to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular cat
