Kara is a short-haired Calico cat. She is an indoor/outdoor cat who is very kind, intelligent, and independent. She is quite friendly around adults and older children, but is not comfortable around dogs and other cats. It is better for her to be in a quiet environment with no other animals and not to be handled by very young children without supervision. She likes to be held and petted. She also enjoys sitting on your chest and lap. In August of this year, she was hospitalized for three days due to renal failure. She is currently on a special renal diet recommended by the veterinarian but not required. She has improved greatly in health after the treatment. 

Her owners are no longer able to care for her so she needs a nice new home where she can love you and hang around.
