Gregory is one of the most beloved 13th street cats. He's been living in our cat garage since he was hit by a car in March of 2020 and every volunteer is in love with him.
 
Gregory is quite a character.  His pelvic fracture healed after the car accident but he was left with a cute little head tilt and a cool swagger. You can't help but smile when you see him coming down the hall. He takes both snuggling and playing very seriously and is looking for not just a patient loving family but also a cat best friend.
 
Gregory is the most snuggly love bug you'll ever meet. He never turns away a soft bed, blanket or lap to sit in. If you're sitting in a room with a soft place to lay he'll be right there with you enjoying your company.  He loves it if you lay down on the bed next to him. He'll cuddle up close and hold onto your hand or arms and touch your face with his paws while he purrs up a storm. He likes to lay under a blanket and also to have his belly rubbed while he kneads the air. He also LOVES to sleep with and groom other cats and kittens and has been our kitten ambassador in the garage for years- helping to make the new little ones feel welcome and safe.
 
Gregory also loves to play- a lot. He goes nuts for a laser pointer, mouse or wand. He needs solid playtime throughout the day- preferably from a combination of his people friends and his cat friend. He'd love to run and tumble around the house with his cat best friend all day.
 
Gregory is also deaf and therefore when he meows it is LOUD (and hilariously cute). He loves to let you know when he's unhappy and also meows when he's looking for you. His foster home has started using signs to communicate when it's time to eat, stop doing something, and to go somewhere. He is already great at using the litter box and finding his toys and beds but he will need a patient family to train him on the rules of the house.
 
Gregory also often has a runny nose that makes him sniff extra loudly.  He'll make you laugh when he sniffs things and will need his nose wiped from time to time.  Homeopathic drops also help on extra stuffy days.  His foster mom says this isn't difficult to care for as it just runs a little and a quick tissue wipe fixes it.  It also isn't contagious for people or cats.
 
In the right home, Gregory will be a treasured family member. He needs a home with patient humans who love to play and cuddle AND where there is another cat or kitten looking for a playmate and friend. It must be a cat that we have reason to believe will warm up to him quickly. Gregory startles easily because he's deaf and so homes with very young children could be tough for him. He needs vibration and soft touches to let him know you're nearby. Gregory is looking for a cat best friend and a family who will support his special needs, in exchange, he'll love you like no other cat you've met.
