13th Street Cats was also asked to rescue a litter of five tabbies, three of which had compromised eyes. The two kittens with no issues are already adopted.  Aspen has a gorgeous leopard spotted coat coming in now too!!!!!

Aspen's right eye was so bad with infection and excessive granulation tissue it had to be removed. He is so happy and comfortable about having only one eye, and especially now that it’s gone, no more uncomfortableness! He plays with balls and other toys and is just like any other kitty. Just look at the video of him on his back enjoying loving and attention and he is making biscuits. He is a people-oriented kitty and ready for his forever home.

Aspen can be adopted as an only kitten, and that may be preferable as we don't want him playing and being scratched by another kitty, but then you do need to be aware that as a single kitten he could be very bitey and you must not play with your hands with him or let him start that bad habit.
He enjoys wand toys and his stuft cuddly lamb to sleep with, and he is even learning to sit on command he is so smart.  He comes with a nice carrier and bed, as well as his lamb of course!

We are so thankful to San Jose Animals Care and Services' Guardian Assistance Program for funding some of Aspen’s eye removal costs, as well as what will be needed for the other two siblings, and of course Doctor Rusher's continued support of them.

Aspen and his two other siblings are also available for sponsorship to help with their costs, and we really appreciate it (siblings to be posted soon).

13thstcats.org is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, No-Kill Rescue Group based in San Jose.

We try our best to match our cats to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular cat
