Holly is the sweetest, most cuddly cat we’ve ever known.

She will be a wonderful pet in a home where she is the only cat as she is not friendly to other cats. She needs a lot of cuddle time, play time, and lots of wet food (did we mention that she eats a lot?!?).

We found her eating with a colony of community cats that we support. She was super skinny with a distended stomach, covered with dirt, and her breathing was raspy, labored and wet.  We knew she needed help. She was friendly so we were able to get her to walk right into the carrier.

Because of her bulging tummy we, and the vet, thought she was pregnant. But it turned out she was not pregnant, just sick. She needed antibiotics for a respiratory infection, and lots of good food. After about six weeks of medicine, and hours of love and affection, Holly was much better. At a follow-up visit with the vet we learned she had a condition called stomatitis, which affects the jaw and teeth. Several of her teeth were missing, and the teeth she did have were rotting. It must have been quite painful for her to eat. There is no cure for stomatitis so the best treatment was removing her bad teeth. So, now Holly has no teeth but she is feeling great! She eats like a champ (lots of wet food, though she can eat some small sized dry food)!
If you can give Holly this loving, wet food providing home, she will give you years of cuddles and friendship in return.
