The Marvelous Miss Bit

This young beauty, under 2 years old, has a lot of personality and energy packed into her 10-pound longhaired fluffiness!

Bit, Bit Baby, Lil’ Bit, Bitsy, Bit Bucket LOVES to play almost more than she loves eating.  The way to her heart and becoming her friend is play, play, play.   Some of her favorite toys are little rabbit fur mice with a rattle, wand toys with feathers, or a long felt string.  More recently we got her to play with a ping pong ball.

While she is not a lap cat, she will sit close by, follow you around the house, sometimes creep into the bedroom, and find a spot to sleep with you at the foot of the bed.  When you go out and return home she will most often greet you at the door.

And this Lil Bit Lady loves her beauty treatments, i.e., brushing.  Near daily she gets brushed so the brilliant white mane of hers is at its best, her furry pantaloons are in order and her chest and belly get their brush rubs.    And don’t forget to end with check and chin rubs.

When not playing, getting her beauty treatments, or following you around she will be glued to a window perch equally entranced with watching birds, bugs, squirrels, passing cars, and dog walkers.

She is not much for being picked up but she tolerates it.  Bit is not a door dasher, she is content with the easy life of an indoor cat, has excellent litter box manners, and knows to use her scratching posts.

Lady Bit does need special food, limited ingredient, grain-free, single protein canned food, and kibble.  You will need to commit to providing her with this special food.  Grain-free is so important to her.  She has an autoimmune health issue that could flare up and will need vet care and possibly a bit of medication from time to time.

I could go on and on about Lady Bit’s specialness…..did I tell you that she has the most adorable way of getting your attention when she wants to play or attention? She gently pats you with her paw!  Oh, and she has the cutest soft mewing sound.  She is a quiet one.

Anyone looking for an interactive, people-focused cat will find a treasure and dear pal in Lady Bit.

Special Needs: skin allergies- needs specific food

13thstcats.org is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, No-Kill Rescue Group based in San Jose.

We try our best to match our cats to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular cat
