My name is Annie - and my foster dad likes to say my theme song is, "So, Annie are you okay? Are you okay, Annie?" The answer to that is: if you're willing to be patient with me, I will be okay! I'm SO nervous at first - I definitely jump at everything (sneezes, coughing, talking after a length of silence...) but I WANT to be loving, and I WANT to cuddle - I just need the time to get to know you better, and especially the space around me better! (As I explore I'm going to tell you where I am, every spot I'm in. I don't want you to come over - I just want to tell you where I am.) A good way to my heart? Play! I LOOOOOOVE to play! And by love - I mean I NEEEEEED to play! If I don't get playtime I'll tell you it's time to play - loudly. My favorites right now - wands that I can chase (especially if they have FEATHERS!), and that darn red dot that I can never catch! Every time it disappears I look at my foster mom to tell her it disappeared, and she just laughs for some reason - and then it reappears and I get to chase it and pounce on it again and again! I can play for a long time - I don't want to stop! I have lived with other cats before, but had a falling out with my last foster sister. So right now I'm extremely happy as an only cat. I think I could get along with another cat - but they'd have to be very outgoing and friendly (extrovert to my introvert), and it would have to be a slow introduction! Right now I'm discovering that I love to sit right next to my foster mom on the couch when she's working from home. And a couple times I've been on her lap - which was nice, but gonna take me a little while to get used to before I love that I think! Looking forward to coming home and being your energetic, talkative companion!
