Hi there, My name is Chester and I am a neutered American Shorthair cat who is looking for a new home! I weigh about 12 pounds and I am tabby colored with mittens, socks, and a white belly, and smile markings across my face. I have no health issues and am up on all my vaccinations.

I love to cuddle, play catch/fetch with hair ties, drink water from the faucet, chase the laser, and want to be near my humans all the time! My favorite thing is when mom holds me like a baby and I get to cuddle her. I will always come running with my temptations box is shaken and love licking on ice cubes. I am not aggressive, nor do I ever scratch or bite.

My parents are looking for a new home for me to provide me outdoor capabilities. We currently live in an apartment and the indoor life has me longing to be an outdoor cat. I often try to bolt out the door to explore and can be found chasing and catching bugs throughout the house. I can’t wait to explore the outdoors!! I have only lived with my parents and the dog so am unsure if I get along with other cats or kids.

My parents brought home a big, furry brother (golden retriever) for me about 2 years ago and while we love to play chase and he gives me licks, I get jealous that he gets to go outside, and I just recently tried to mark my territory to show him who’s boss. My mom took me to the vet and they found no medical issues, just was determined to be anxiety due to small living quarters with the dog. I would be fine having another dog as a family member as long as I can spread my legs and explore outside! Other than this incident, I am completely litter and house trained.

While it will be very difficult and sad to say goodbye to my parents, I am looking forward to making memories with a new family who can provide me more space and the ability to be the playful and exploring cat I aspire to be!

Chester has found a home. Thank you!
