Basic Info

Name: Suki

Breed: Domestic shorthair

Sex: Spayed female

Color and markings: Brown/grey tabby stripes, blue eyes

Weight: 10.8 lbs as of 4/14/22

*Age is a guesstimate. I adopted her as a stray in 2011 from a shelter in Oakland. The vet believes she was a lost cat because she was extremely healthy, and estimated her to be around 2 years old then.

Personality/Behavior

Incident History

In 2018, I brought Suki to a dental cleaning at South Bay Animal Hospital. The doctor alleged that Suki bit her finger and reported Suki to animal control. I was not present at the cleaning. I was never able to verify how the incident actually happened, and I believe the doctor was inexperienced if not negligent. Animal control came to assess Suki and found no risks and did not require quarantine or any other measures. From when I adopted Suki in 2011 to this day, she has never bitten me, family members, friends, workers in the home, cat sitters, other veterinarians or clinic personnel, or anyone else.

Medical History

Summary: Currently in great health for her age. She has had UTIs in the past from eating only dry food; no issues if she follows a dry/wet diet. When I adopted her in 2011, her front paws were already declawed.

Sadly, I’m seeking to rehome Suki because I am moving out of the country in late 2022 and cannot take her with me.If you’re interested in having Suki join your family, please contact me as soon as possible:

Suki has found a home. Thank you!
