About Juno | |
|
|
Juno is a very sweet girl who had 4 kittens in May and is now looking for her own forever home.
She is very affectionate with all people she meets; she loves cheek scritches and will give you a little trill or head bump when she really wants some loving. She’s very patient with the cat she’s fostering with, who doesn’t like other cats. Juno takes a very docile approach to her foster sister’s hissing/growling and gives her lots of space while making some furtive attempts to befriend her, she also comes to her aide when her foster sister is crying to tell the humans something. We think she’d love to be part of a family with humans and friendly cats, or even a neutral cat who might warm up to her affectionate nature. Juno loves to play with springs, toy mice, strings and anything she can bat around and chase. She likes to cuddle next to you once she’s comfortable, but she’s still learning about snoozing in laps, she really loves a nice spot on a couch arm or ledge where she can soak up some sun while she naps nearby you. She’s comfortable being picked up but doesn’t love to be carried around - she does love to be held up to look through a door or window to check out the ongoings of the neighborhood.
Juno was an outdoor cat, our neighbors agree that she appears to have been abandoned by another neighbor when they moved, because she is so very affectionate and trusting of all people she meets, and she adapted to being indoors with us with zero issues. Since she’s come inside she’s shown no interest in going outside so I think she’d be best as an indoor cat Juno is house broken and has used a litter box without issues since we got her. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, FIP/FELv negative and in great health. She’s a little nervous in the car, but her only trips have been to the vet, so naturally, she’s a little nervous about where she’s going. She loves to be brushed and has been fine when we need to clean her feet or fur when she’s walked through something wet or sticky.
Juno has been good with all the kids who have come to see her, she’s great with all adults. She has experienced our old dog (Shepherd/Husky mix) who would chase her, but she wouldn’t run from him, just made sure she was up high out of his reach. I haven’t seen her interact 1:1 with a dog but if they were calm and respectful (i.e. had experience with cats) and she had a place she felt safe to meet them then she might be able to adapt to a home with a dog.
Our vet estimated her age. She is currently ~8 lbs and is a short hair grey and white tabby with some calico coloring. Juno is a very sweet girl who seems to win over everyone who meets her, now we just need her to win over someone how has a place in their family for Juno.
Juno has found a forever home. Thank you!
