Chive is a playful and friendly kitten with a purr that starts up as soon as he sees his people. He’s not a very smart little guy, and sometimes gets lost in the house and needs to be rescued. Chive really wants to be friends with the big cats in his foster home, but they don’t want his attention. He keeps trying to get them to play, and it sometimes takes a swat or two from them to get him to back off. Fortunately he has his brother, Clove, to play and snuggle with so he’s not lonely. Chive will definitely need to be in a house with a buddy of some kind – he might even do well with a patient dog, but he hasn’t been around dogs at all yet so we don’t know for sure. He is incredibly social, and will cry if he thinks he’s left alone.

Chive loves playing with jingle balls on a track of some kind that he can bat around and try to fish out. He also loves wand toys off all kinds, and tries to jump in the air to catch them. Chive also loves playing chase and wrestling with Clove. He absolutely loves having his face rubbed, and sometimes flops over next to his people to get snuggles and pets. He has been around a few very enthusiastic young kids, and wants to be pet but will run away if they get too loud or make a lot of sudden movements. Chive would be great with older kids who know how to be quiet and gentle with him.
