Katniss is a beautiful, deep silver  little gal, one of 4 kittens brought to fosters’ backyard by stray mom, Kiki.  She is almost 9-weeks-old, and has been cared for with her mom and siblings, providing for both lots of mom nurturing and sibling play experiences. Of course, she also has had daily play and handling with her foster family.  Katniss is a lithe, agile, athletic little cat. With a sweet, triangular face and olive green eyes, she sometimes looks like a toy silver fox, but she is pure feline at heart, capturing the essence of “cat.”

 Katniss is most up for adventure with her brother, Kipper, the sibling she most resembles, but she also plays with her other two siblings and with her mom.  She likes to investigate any new item or place, though she may wait until she feels comfortable, while visually taking everything in. Katniss enjoys most cat toys, loves to climb up and in boxes, and enjoys chasing balls through tunnels.  She is so eager to see what life might offer that she doesn’t stop long to eat, preferring to graze when she knows she is not missing out.  She accepts, but does not seek out, handling by her fosters, yet always manages to lick her foster mom’s hands when held.  Katniss would ideally go to a forever home with brother, Kipper, another of her siblings, or another young, playful cat.
