Carrot top is simply the best cat in the  world. He was rescued from the street in April. He was not neutered and his paws had been burnt so badly! Luckily, a family found him and brought him to us. He had grease on his tail so we guessed he must have gotten into something at an auto shop. His paws were so tender and painful- it was amazing that he could walk on them at all!! Since April, he has tolerated daily soaks, oral and topical medications and frequent vet visits. Right now, there in only one paw- his right front- that still has a very small area that needs to close up. Through all of this- he has been the sweetest guy-  loving and purring --  and letting us hold him like a baby in our arms. We are posting him as a foster to adopt until he is medically clear because he needs his own home where he can have more room to run about! All of his medical needs will be covered by 13th st cats until then.
We can go on and on with stories about how awesome he is , but hopefully this description will encourage somone to reach out to meet him and see for themselves.

13thstcats.org is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, No-Kill Rescue Group based in San Jose.

We try our best to match our cats to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular cat
