If you're looking for a great tabby, Chestnut should fit the bill; she is friendly and curious, following the foster around the home and always up for a game of fetch. She carries her toys around the house hoping you'll play with her too. She is Calypso’s sister and they'd be happy adopted as a pair but they also enjoy the foster home cats so we know they will be happy with other felines, even if adopted solo, because they are so people-oriented. Wand toys and balls, and soft toys with catnip are of course favorites. And we found them fascinated with the bubble-making machine we have. So clever, they even play hide-n-seek as you can see in the photo. Chestnut is a little bit bigger than Calypso, and she has looked out for Calypso all her life, but we know they can thrive separately if you are hoping for only one kitten.

13thstcats.org is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, No-Kill Rescue Group based in San Jose.

We try our best to match our cats to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular cat
