This is Sammy the tripod cat. He had been failed by his previous humans. Clearly a friendly young male that grew up in a home and was dumped at the creek near Berryessa x Capitol. He was found by a feral feeder in that area. He'd been there a few months when she saw him limping and dragging his arm. Sammy was only too happy to let her pick him up and put him in her car. Sadly after X-rays and examination by two independent vets it was determined that it was irreversible nerve damage and could not be repaired. Sammy needed amputation and certainly could not be returned to the outdoor colony.  Despite everything, he is so friendly, resilient, and one very chill dude.  He has adjusted to becoming a tripod and is now healthy and full of love and affection.  He is a one armed biscuit factory and adores the indoor life. He's playful, very responsive to treats, and enjoys naps on soft pillows.
