Preston is a big puffball with his super soft fluffy fur, and a very thick tail, which he gets from his Maine Coon father. Preston is a big boy at 17 lbs. like the typical Maine Coon. His fur is different shades of black and brown, and depending on the light he can look either color. He loves to have his coat brushed, and purrs contentedly while getting his back massages. He takes very good care of his coat and does not shed as much as most of the short haired kitties.

Preston will cuddle up with his foster mother to get attention while he purrs very quietly. When he is taking his afternoon cat naps you can find him in some very funny sleeping positions, which mostly involve him stretched out on his back. He has a more mellow personality than his brother Peyton, but get them together and Preston goes in to action. Besides wrestling with his brother or foster sister cat, Preston loves any kind of toy you put in front of him.

Preston and Peyton are super shy with strangers.  This has hindered their ability to be adopted sucessfully, but they have been affectionate with new people after some time to feel comfortable.  Anyone interested in adopting Preston or his brother need to have patience, and to allow them time to feel safe and familiar with their new surroundings.

It would be wonderful to keep the brothers together, but Preston can be adopted on his own. He would prefer to have some kitty company in his new home, and he gets along with both younger kittens and adult cats. He would not do well in a home with young children, but he might be good with quieter older children. Preston has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, de-wormed, and flea treated.
