Hope is our very special "Special Needs" kitty.  Recently featured in the San Jose Mercury News, Hope was born with one leg without toes and the other cut off at the knee.  Hope has recovered very well from this injury and gets around the house quite normally; she does need carpeted floors, however.  Of course Hope cannot jump up as easily as other kitties with all 4 feet, but she likes to do things on her own and will pull herself up with her front legs.  She is a very loving and snuggly kitty and likes to cuddle under the covers; once she has found a nice warm spot, she doesn't move all night.  Hope can be a little shy when first encountering new people and situations, but once she gets to know you and her surroundings, she is quite happy and playful.  Hope needs a very special home with a family who will be willing to help her through any struggles or difficulties she might encounter as she grows.  She will need to stay in close contact with our rescue group so we can continue to monitor her needs and any issues.

13thstcats.org is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, No-Kill Rescue Group based in San Jose.

We try our best to match our cats to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular cat
