Blake is a 6 year old male cat, very active and friendly. Blake's personality is easy-going; he tolerates well getting his nails trimmed, for example. He even would let a kid pull at his tail, but only to a point - when he's had enough, he'll leave. He's not a lap cat, but needs human attention and interaction. He will sleep on your bed if you let him.

Blake likes being outdoors, to roam and be active. He may occasionally bring a mouse, but knows to leave it outside. 

He is a well behaved cat; does not scratch furniture or jump on counters. He can also be trained to avoid certain behaviors (e.g. we are keeping him out of the upper level of the house, and it's only took a couple of stern warnings for him to understand that this area is off-limits).

Blake gets along with well with children. I expect that he would do well with a dog, as long as they leave each other alone. He may or may not get along with another outdoor cat in the same household; Blake is a large, strong cat and may be territorial, since he's is currently an only cat. But I expect that if the other cat is an indoor-only cat, he'll do fine with that.  

Blake received his shots in September 2010; he has a current license from the city of San Jose and a microchip. Blake is a dark chocolate/black medium hair, with plumed tail and distinctive mane. His coat is full and silky, but is not prone to matting and does not require maintenance as a longhair's would.

Blake was adopted when he was about 6 months old, and has lived with the same owners since. He's a beautiful, friendly & independent guy who would make anyone a great companion!
