You know how some cats kind of name themselves? Well that’s Joey. The third of the orange tabbies, Joey was the most feral when we got him hissing each time we came near him. But he was just scared. Once he knew we wouldn’t hurt him he became a BFF. Of all the tabbies, Joey purrs the loudest. Soon, he was greeting us with purrs and little head butts.
His personality is reminiscent of a few famous bad boys of Hollywood. You might say he is a Brando because when he sees you, he has a cool, laid back quality, as he waits for you to come to him. Of course he thinks he’s Gary Cooper -- but he’s not. He likes to sit back and watch the others romp while making goo-goo kitty kisses at you with his big purr and fabulous green eyes as if to say he is above it all. But when you walk away, he’s out there playing with the others and into the same kitty-cat mischief as his sibs.
As you can tell, he’s not really trouble any more, just a bit of an imp, but he likes the name ;-). He will make you laugh and win your heart with kisses.
