Mr Cocoa Bean is a beautiful young, energetic and gregarious  little man - sadly found in a dumpster in Salinas CA…

From all outward appearances, he was abused and tossed to fend for himself. When he was found, he had an eye and tongue injury. He was brought to San Jose and immediately taken to a family vet for treatment of his eye injury.

Three weeks later, his eye treatment is complete and his eye is looking great! He loves people and other cats… he loves to play and really loves to be cuddled… with his little purr machine in full throttle!

This little guy simply wants a nice, safe furever home with someone who’ll treat him as family.

Did we mention is fantastic coloring? He’s not just any black cat - he a black cat with cool streaks of dark red on his back. Watching this coloring change as he grows up will be fun!

13thstcats.org is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, No-Kill Rescue Group based in San Jose.

We try our best to match our cats to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular cat
