Merlot is a cute black female kitty, rescued from an industrial complex where all the cats/kitties were targeted to be put to sleep. She particular likes to play with her furry mice and loves to be given treats to eat. She likes to be petted and just purrs and purrs, she rolls over on her side to have her tummy rubbed, too. Like her siblings (Chardonnay, Burgandy, and Riesling) she did test positive for FELV. So she would be best as a single, indoor-only kitty to insure minimum immune system impact. Or in a home with other FELV kitties all being managed to minimize stress.
You can read more about FELV at
http://www.dehumane.org/pet_health/FIV_FeLV.asp
I am happy to arrange a foster home visit for her.

13thstcats.org is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, No-Kill Rescue Group based in San Jose.

We try our best to match our cats to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular cat
