polydactyl and one eyed-- quite a looker too

About Joey

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Cat
  • General Color: Black (Mostly)
  • Current Age: 10 Years 4 Months (best estimate)
  • Microchipped: Yes
  • Declawed: No
  • Housetrained: Yes
When we found Joey, he was 6 weeks old, weighed only 14 ounces, & his eye was injured.

His left eye had to be removed, & though his peripheral vision was affected - Joey is able to play, climb, and everything else kittens do! He emerged from almost a month of wearing a cone during recovery as a rambunctious, feisty kitten.

Joey has short black fur with unique white stripes. He also has extra toes (sometimes called a Hemingway cat), so he has great climbing & catching capabilities. His claws must be clipped weekly.

Joey is a silly, active, and curious kitten. He is sweet and affectionate, purrs & cuddles.

So many people have loved and cared for this special little cat. Joey got a second chance - to be safe, free from pain...and now, to go on to his new family.

13thstcats.org is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, No-Kill Rescue Group based in San Jose.

We try our best to match our cats to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular cat
