Blackie Has A Wonderful Family!
Orignally rescued from a workplace parking lot, he was adopted, but later abandoned by his adoptive home! Re-rescued by 13th St. Cats, Blackie was then adopted by a loving home with twin five year old boys to play with. Blackie certainly has finally found his forever home...and what a wonderful home it is! Janice from 13th St Cats says "this is such a great story and happy ending for him; stories like this are why we do rescue!"

Blackie's Update:
Hi Janice,
I wanted to send you an update on Blackie (A.K.A. Louie, A.K.A. Lincoln .) Blackie has turned into the world’s greatest cat. We love him so much. He follows me around like my shadow. He even jumps up on the sink when I am brushing my teeth. My favorite thing about Blackie is that he comes with me to tuck the boys into bed every night. I pull up the covers and give them a kiss and then Blackie jumps up on the bed and gives them a kiss, too. He even climbs the ladder to the top bunk so he can say goodnight to Kai. We just love him so much. We feel so fortunate to have found him at the adoption fair.

He and our other cat, Daisy, still fight around dinner time. They are both very jealous, but they are learning to get along, too. They lay on the same bed together all day. They might not be touching, but they don’t disturb each other. I swear the other night I woke up around 2am and they were sleeping in a pile at the end of our bed. It’s just a matter of time before Blackie works his way into Daisy’s heart, too.
