Simon was rescued from a large colony in San Jose. He was deemed too ill to return to the streets and with time developed into a loving and playful cat. Initially Simon hid in bed (literally under the covers of a human bed) until the sun set only then would he venture out to play; hence the night owl nickname. Now Simon loves to play with other cats, stuffed mice and wire toys. He especially likes to play fetch, returning the mouse directly to the throwers’ hand. This turns out to be a good way to run off that excess kitten energy before midnight.

Simon is capable of entertaining himself but prefers to interact with humans and other cats. His foster often finds Simon waiting at the door for his human to return home.

--------------

13thstcats.org is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, No-Kill Rescue Group based in San Jose.

We try our best to match our cats to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular cat
