Kali is a total sweetheart! She's very affectionate and loves to sit in your lap - all the time! She's very people-focused. Although she's a lap cat, Kali doesn't like to be picked up or held. She often sucks on her paws when she's stretched out beside you. It doesn't seem to be related to an allergy, more like suckling. Kali expresses herself with high-pitched but gentle sounds. She's quite the communicator! Kali is overweight, so for now she's eating weight-loss kibble. You'll need to commit to providing her with this special food until she gets down to a more healthy weight of 10 lbs. She gets along with other cats, but doesn't like to play with them. Kali really prefers to hang out with her human companions. She would probably do best in a calmer home, one without a lot of other pets or young kids. 
                 So, if you're looking for a buddy to curl up with, Kali might be the perfect cat for you!

  kali was adopted as a kitten with her sister, Kona. They both were returned to us after 2 years. They needed to be separated because they just did not get along.  Kali is doing ok with her foster brother so a male cat may work
