Cosmo is in need of a new home.  He is a 13 year old, neutered, fully clawed indoor cat. My cousin Michelle adopted him when he was just 4 months old, and has been very much loved all of his life.

Unfortunately, after a series of health issues, Michelle was diagnosed with liver and kidney failure in April 2015.  While she has been in hospital, several friends have been taking care of the cat, in the hope that Michelle would get strong enough to be an organ transplant candidate.

As Michelle has been convalescing, she has continually asked about her beloved Cosmo.

A couple of weeks ago, Michelle’s condition worsened dramatically.  She now has an infection in her heart, has been moved to hospice care, and is not expected to survive much longer.  Despite her best efforts to get well, and return to her cat, now she has been asking who would be able to take care of Cosmo after she passes.  Her immediate family all either have pet allergies, are not “pet-people”, or already have other pets that would not get along with a cat.

While her immediate family is dealing with this crisis, I am trying to help out where I can, and know that one of Michelle’s final wishes is for her cat to go to a loving home, and that her cat will be well looked after when she has passed.

Cosmo has been an indoor cat his entire life, living in a quiet apartment with just one owner.  He would probably do best in a similar environment.
